City of Rancho Palos Verdes Altamira Canyon

Project Scope

CWE provided hydraulic analysis and debris basin design for the City of Rancho Palos Verdes Altamira Canyon Study.  The Altamira Canyon watershed is comprised of approximately 860 acres located on the southern side of the Palos Verdes Peninsula that drain into Abalone Cove.  CWE developed alternative designs to minimize groundwater penetration, manage stormwater runoff, and aid in controlling erosion within Altamira Canyon as part of a Project Study Report.  Tasks included: project coordination; site visit, field investigation, and data review; existing and proposed conditions hydraulics studies and scour analysis; preparation and revision of a hydraulics study report; and debris basin concept development
